The Main
Section/ Borrowing section:
This section is located in
the second floor and is considered the vita section of
the library since it includes most of the books that can
be borrowed by the members. This section includes also
the main desk. It has as well the main computer section
which is used by researchers for research purposes and
by employees for book lists and references. Staff in
charge of this section is: Mr. Amer Awadallah, Samah
samaha and Mr. Raaed Al Taweel. |

References / Periodicals & Internet:
This section includes more than 2000 reference and
around 3000 periodical which deal with different fields
such as education, politics, social sciences and general
knowledge. This section is very popular among local
university students. Computerized lists of all
components are available which facilitates the efforts
of the users.
The internet section is a new addition to the library's
facilities and it contributes to the work of the
researches through the different websites and new
researches in the different fields. |

Children's Library |
Children's
Library:
Since the Palestinian population has a high percentage
of children ( around 47%) who are in need for a
continuous educational development, the library has
thought of this need and established a children's
library that aims at encouraging children to read and
involve them in a number of related activities that
includes music, drama, and creative writing.. The
children's library was established in 1974 and is run by
Mrs. Tayseer Madah.
The Staff at the library are Mr. Salim AlBast the chief
librarian, Mr. Amer Awadallh, Miss Samah Samaha and Mr.
Raed Al Taweel at the second floor of the library. Mrs.
Tayseer Al Madah in charge of the children's library and
Ms. Azza for the periodicals.
The Center
for Child Information:
This center was established recently and is funded by
the Swiss Agency ( Sida) in cooperation with the Sectary
of the National Plan for the Palestinian Child. The aim
of this center is collecting all information, documents,
statistics that are related to the Palestinian Children
and introduce them to the public and the media. The
center also produces special programs on children aiming
at developing the social and psychological situation of
the Palestinian child.
The center has hundreds of books and recordings related
to his field. |
